IT PRIMO PREMIO - Concorso di idee “Sport District” - Codroipo

Il progetto per il nuovo distretto sportivo di Codroipo, vincitore del concorso internazionale promosso da Terraviva Competitions, interpreta il rapporto tra sport, paesaggio e città come un unico sistema integrato. La proposta ricuce una condizione oggi frammentata, ristabilendo continuità tra il centro urbano, le aree sportive esistenti e il Parco delle Risorgive. Le architetture si collocano ai margini del sito, liberando una centralità aperta e accessibile in cui attività sportive, percorsi e spazi pubblici convivono all’interno di un disegno unitario.

Due polarità definiscono il sistema: una legata alle funzioni collettive e associative, l’altra al rapporto con il paesaggio e gli spazi naturali. Tra queste, una connessione sopraelevata supera la frattura generata dalla circonvallazione, ristabilendo continuità ecologica e funzionale e rafforzando il dialogo tra ambiente naturale e infrastrutture sportive. Il progetto restituisce alla città un luogo inclusivo e flessibile, capace di accogliere attività diverse e di costruire nel tempo un rapporto duraturo tra comunità, natura e movimento.

EN FIRST PRIZE — Design Competition for the Codroipo Sport District

The proposal for the new Sports District in Codroipo, awarded First Prize in the international competition organized by Terraviva Competitions, reimagines the relationship between sport, landscape, and the city as a single integrated system. The project reconnects a fragmented urban condition, restoring continuity between the historic center, the existing sports facilities, and the Risorgive Park. New architectural interventions are positioned along the edges of the site, freeing a central open space where sports activities, public life, and landscape coexist within a coherent spatial framework.

Two distinct poles structure the district: one associated with collective and community-oriented functions, the other closely linked to the natural environment. Between them, an elevated landscape connection overcomes the barrier created by the ring road, re-establishing ecological and functional continuity while strengthening the relationship between natural and built environments. The project returns to the city an inclusive and adaptable public space, capable of accommodating diverse activities while fostering a lasting connection between community, nature, and movement.
